Flying Anxiety

Problem: Anxiety, Stress, Fear of driving

Result: I am so glad to have got the opportunity to participate in your sessions. The sessions have helped me tremendously to de-stress and release anxiety. I completely lost the fear of driving on the freeways. In fact, after the fourth session I had almost forgotten that a fear ever existed in me to drive on the freeways. I am so confident to drive now and I know that I will carry the confidence with me always.

Flying Anxiety

Dear Ben,

I have finally returned from Australia and I wanted to let you know how well both of the flights went. My anxiety I usually get before a flight wasn’t present, and once I was on the plane, I was able to remain calm and at ease like most other passengers. Before taking this flight, I felt the length of it would only make my anxiety worsen- however, I learned that it was quite the opposite. Being that I was on the flight for so long, I was able to get situated and comfortable with my surroundings. I became more familiarized with the plane which allowed to remain at ease. It’s incredible how much more eager I am to travel now that I have started to put my fear of flying behind me. I have already started planning to return to Australia in beginning of the New Year, and knowing that I can fly there without anxiety only makes me that much more excited. Fear of Needles

Dear Ben,

I cannot thank you enough for the gift that you shared with Brianna! The results have been absolutely amazing! As a parent, it would bring tears to my eyes each time Brianna had to face a needle. Brianna had such a debilitating fear of an IV, having blood drawn, or any type of needle – a very tough fear for a child that needs to face that reality on a regular basis. As you know, with her new diagnosis, she has to self inject, have regular monthly blood tests, in addition to ongoing shots for one thing or another. In the past month, we have had five separate “needle” experiences, and not one tear, no fear, no restraints, just a deep breath and she looks the other way.

Brianna and I are still amazed that after only 3 visits and one follow up, that the two of you made such amazing progress. I hope that you are able to help other children with their fears. If I can ever talk to another parent for you, I would be more than happy to share our story. I really appreciate that you accelerated the sessions to ease Brianna’s stress. It was nice of you to follow up to check on her progress as well.

Brianna is still taking advantage of the ice cream treat after every needle experience, but I can deal with that.

Stress/Fertility

Benjamin,

Thank you does not seem appropriate for the help/guidance/support that you have provided over the last year. My life has changed in so many positive ways. I am grateful and I hold you and the benefits of hypnotherapy responsible for the miracles that have happened in 2011.

I came into your office trying to deal with ‘Fertility Issues’. My goal was to have peace with my inability to have a second child. In the process of finding that peace, I found out that I was pregnant. I was unable to get pregnant through fertility treatment and other natural treatments. I believe that I conceived after our second session. I am now blessed with a happy/healthy 6 week old daughter. There are no words to express my gratitude.

I am a believer in hypnotherapy. It has affected multiple parts of my life…dealing with stress, balancing career and family goals, and patience with my daughter. Life seems so much more manageable these days…even with a 6 week old.

I wish more people understood the power of hypnotherapy. I used hypnotherapy as a last resort, but I wish I would have tried it first. I would have saved my body a tremendous amount of stress, in addition to the amount of time and money we invested. Even my skeptical husband can not deny that this somehow worked for us and appreciates the calmness that I have in my life.

Flying Anxiety

Hi Ben,

I wanted to give you some feedback on the three flights I took after my four sessions. If you remember I was having some anxiety the day before my flight to Hawaii. Well I have to say that I felt quite good during the flight. Anxiety to Hawaii was down about 70 to 80 percent, just like you said. While in Hawaii we took an inter-island flight. I had more anxiety on this flight than the flight to Hawaii, but it was still far better than past experiences. During the flight home I was still anxious, but I still did far better than I have in the past.

Overall, the hypnotherapy was a success. Just as you said, I didn’t and don’t love flying, but my fear is manageable. This is a HUGE step in the right direction. I am actually looking forward to my next flight. I want to continue to improve and think I will with increased experiences. For potential future clients you can use my success story and quote my improvement to be in the neighborhood of 60-75 percent overall. By the way, I did not use any type of over the counter or prescription drugs, nor did I drink any alcohol during any of these flights. Again, a huge improvement.

Two questions:

Do you think more sessions would further improve my progress?

And, should I continue to listen to the CD’s you provided to me?

I passed my MFCC orals and received my license.

After we completed our 1:1 sessions, I faithfully listened to my tape each week for the next 7 weeks preceding my exam, which was on Oct. 4th. The night before the exam I listened once again. When I awoke the following morning, I felt surprisingly relaxed and
confident. While waiting in the lobby of the hotel for my appointment time, I used the posthypnotic suggestion which you gave me.

The examiner arrived to take me to the room and I felt a calm come over me. During the exam, I was able to respond to the questions with ease, noticing that I seemed to have a command of my language and delivery. My nonverbal communication with the examiners was confident and self-assured. I was, indeed, enjoying the opportunity being presented to me.

If you recall when we met, I told you I had already taken and failed this exam twice before. Since I was confident of my knowledge of the subject matter, I could only attribute my lack of success to the test anxiety which I not only experienced at these licensing orals, but often during important exams while in school. This time, not only did I experience a complete absence of test anxiety, but I had a satisfying feeling of self-confidence and self-assurance. I attribute this change

Smoking Cessation

I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to share with you that Monday was my six month anniversary for quitting smoking. It’s an anniversary that has tremendous meaning for me and one I never thought I’d be able to accomplish. I was hoping and praying my sister Tracy would have been able to quit again before I wrote you. I guess it just isn’t time for her yet. I wanted this email to have pictures of both of us in it.

I’ve attached pictures of a recent week-long backpacking trip which my Ray (my husband) and I took recently. We hiked a total of about 35 miles in the Eastern High Sierra. This trip had been my dream for years, but I despaired of ever taking it because as a smoker it would have been too difficult.

The pictures are taken at an altitude of between 9,000 and 10,000 feet. As you probably know the air has about 30% less oxygen at that altitude. And of course we had to climb a trail that descended over 2,000 feet! That would have been impossible as a smoker since my lung capacity was so limited.

I joined a gym back in May and started working out. Ray and I have taken up hiking on weekends. We’ve already traversed a good deal of our local mountain coastal mountain range by our house, the Santa Monica Mountains and are looking forward to, hopefully, many years of more of exploring and hiking together.

I haven’t felt this good in years. I feel twenty years younger than I did when I was smoking. I want you to know that with your help I didn’t just quit smoking. I changed my life completely. People that know me are completely amazed. When I came into your office I was smoking one and half to two packs of cigarettes a day. I felt hopeless and enslaved to nicotine. I had tried and failed to quit for years and was miserable about it.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work you did with me. I have no desire to smoke and have not had the desire to smoke since before our first session. To this day I become extremely relaxed if I even smell cigarette smoke! Obviously the hypnotherapy had a profound effect on me for which I am extremely and forever grateful.
